Sandra Cuevas, former mayor of Cuauhtémoc in Mexico City, known for her food tours showcasing various establishments, now announces the creation of a new political party. At the beginning of the year, Cuevas shared her proposals for 2025, highlighting the construction of an opposition in Mexico against Morena and allied parties, as well as the strengthening of her business 'Sandra Cuevas Diamond Group' to support her political initiatives.
On January 28, she called a press conference to present the Political Organization for Family and Security. In February, she presented the formal call for her organization, inviting citizens interested in holding political positions in the 2027 elections. The goal is to establish an opposition party within 2.5 years with individuals committed to family and social values.
Sandra Cuevas' training program aims to train leaders committed to citizenship and focused on solving local problems. The program seeks to teach political principles, leadership skills, effective communication, teamwork, and the promotion of family-friendly and security policies.
The requirements to participate in Cuevas' political organization include being a Mexican citizen aged between 18 and 70, not having previously been a member of political parties, having faith in God, and a commitment to the political and social life of CDMX. Interested individuals must submit documents such as a curriculum vitae, letters of intent and recommendation, health and educational certificates, among others.
Applications will be accepted from February 11 to 28, 2025, with selected candidates being notified on March 15. The selection process will be based on document review and, if necessary, personal interviews. Cuevas seeks participants committed to personal and spatial cleanliness, with family values and determination to serve the citizenry from public positions.
